Is There Microsoft Publisher For Mac
Best Answer: Unfortunately, Microsoft do not have a page layout software for the mac. Which software would be best for you really depends on your requirements – professional or home use. As a typesetteer, I have found that Publisher was the worst page layout/typsetting software in the industry.
Usb drive for windows install mac. Scribus is the best free alternative to Microsoft Publisher. Scribus is an Open Source program which is freely available for all. It brings professional page layout to Linux/UNIX, Mac OS X and Windows desktops with an amalgam of press-ready output and new techniques to page personalization and editing.
Proffessionally, I'd use the real industry-standard software – Adobe's inDesign CS4. It's pricey but it fits in beutifully with Adobes other industry standard software, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. There is also Quark Xpress, which is cheaper, but more buggy. For home use, your cheapest bet IMO is Apple's 'Pages', which is part of the iWork suite.
Pages will open and save as MS Word files, and has some great page layout features. It takes a little getting used to, but represents great value for money. If you need to be able to supple files to printers or a repro department, just supply them with PDFs to work from. • Answered by Anonymous A from Xxxxxxxxx • Apr 6, 2010 •.
