Rii i8+ BT Mini Wireless Bluetooth Backlight Touchpad Keyboard with Mouse for PC/Mac/Android, Blue (RTi8BT-3) I am running Windows 10. I have the updated drivers and the dongle shows up in the device manager as Generic Bluetooth Radio. Along with Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator. I can go into W10 Settings > Bluetooth & other devices > Add Bluetooth or other device.

It prompts me for a device PIN. Using mac amtemu for windows product. Now, understand that I attempted this a couple of times prior.

The first time, Windows actually gave me a PIN to enter into the device. However, the device's BT search feature timed out before I could complete the function. I tried again. This time, it generated a different random 6-8 digit pin for the new device.

I entered the suggested PIN into the Rii Mini (I think). Not sure how that worked without being paired but still. I wasn't prompted to make a note of the PIN and have no idea what it was. Now, it's asking for a PIN and I don't have one. I've tried to disable, reenable. But I cannot get it to reset or prompt another PIN. The manufacturer is of no help whatsoever.

I need windows to reset the the passcode sequence for the device. Any help is appreciated. Hi, The PIN that is being used to connect your external device to the computer is generated to the dongle that comes with it. Since the dongle no longer issues PIN, we suggest contacting directly the device manufacturer to resolve your issue. Get back to us if you need further assistance. So, that I understand properly. Windows did not generate the PIN for the generic dongle? I assumed that Windows created a random custom pin for the device. On a side note.

The device support page has been shut down. It's here or nowhere. I guess, I'm just out $30.

3 solid stars – good utility, stable, has more potential though I got this unit to work with several devices: PS3, FireTV Stick, Raspberry Pi, Win 10 PC. So far, I’ve tested it with PS3 and Fire TV. On PS3, the device is OK. I did not have the experience I was expecting because the mapping of keys from the PS3 controller to the Rii was not immediately clear. More importantly, technically, I had dificulty paring the device to the PS3 and when it did pair on EVERY use, the PS3 became unresponsive after about 3 or 4 minutes and had to be power cycled. Is NOT as easy as a standard wireless keyboard/mouse connection.

Second, it is not “plug-and-play” like most Bluetooth keyboards, mice, headsets.
